As much as I love No Age, I think Abe Vigoda has cemented itself as my favorite Smell band with this new EP. The band is moving in directions that I wasn’t expecting after picking up Skeleton last year. The songs are a little more structured this time, a little more shoegazey, and I even hear a slight Joy Division influence creeping through. I’m expecting big things from their next full length.
