03.27.09last minute show!There couldn't possibly be anything more awesome to do tonight than see a stellar out of state band for free at a house show. Abe Vigoda is playing the Tribe house in Phoenix tonight and you have no excuse not to be there. If you missed these guys when they just came to town for Rampage Fest, you missed out on seeing one of the most creative and exciting bands touring right now. Don't make the same mistake again!

03.27.09pony spring 2009Not content with being the only classic footwear company not making a comeback, Pony is launching these vintage sneakers for the Spring 2009 season. Pony is now led by a young team of designers that are doing a killer job of mixing the original Pony styling with the current streetwear flavor that all the kids are into these days. I'm not sure who even stocks Pony locally, but I'll be finding out if they keep releasing sneakers like these.

03.27.09n.a.s.a. videoHow many ridiculously hyped rappers/musicians can you get to do a guest slot on one album? N.A.S.A. has gone a long way towards answering that with this track and even more so with the album they just released entitled The Spirit of Apollo. This track is called "Gifted" and features Kanye West, Santigold and Lykke Li.

03.27.09prince on the tonight showPrince performed last night on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. This was the first of a three night stint on the show. For the first performance he went with the song "Dreamer" from the album LOtUSFLOW3R. Prince is still one of the most incredible guitar players and overall musicians this world has seen.

03.27.09new sunset rubdown albumSpencer Krug has announced the details about the new Sunset Rubdown album. First things first, that's the cover art up there. Secondly, you should know that it has the awesome title of Dragonslayer. The album is going to be released via Jagjaguwar on June 23rd. The band has added bassist/drummer Mark Nicol to the lineup and he will make his debut on this album.

03.27.09tonight at trunkspaceTierra Del Fuego is celebrating a cd release tonight at the Trunkspace and every attendee will receive a free cd for showing up. The event will get going at 7 tonight.

03.26.09sonorousAnd here's yet another show worth attending this evening! Sonorous has been kicking around the Valley for a few years now as one of the finest examples of the local music scene. They play an experiment jazz/psyche style of music that is very fresh and always entertaining live. They'll be playing the Rhythm Room tonight with self-described "slowgaze" band Burn Down Tempo.
