Pitchfork.TV just released a new documentary for their “One Week Only” series. This one is an unreleased promotional short film about Elliot Smith that was recorded in 1998. The video effects on this are a big hint that it was filmed around that time, and they haven’t aged well. However, they only point out even more how timeless Elliot’s songs were. There are some very intimate live performances throughout the 28 minutes, as well as some insight into the man behind the songs. Strongly recommended.
