The Gaslamp Killer has a new EP called My Troubled Mind coming out on Brainfeeder, the label run by Flying Lotus, on August 4th. There will be a digital release as well as a 10″ that is limited to 2000 copies, all of which will be signed. Here’s the first cut off the EP that I’ve managed to track down. “Anything Worse” is a deep and glitchy track that I’d say would best be described as “sci-fi funk”. GLK once again leaves his signature style dripping all over this track and shows why he’s quickly become a force to be reckoned with in the instrumental hip hop scene, as well as being an inspiration to countless new producers coming out. Pick up the EP and support a great independent label.
