This weekend is looking to be a great one for music in Phoenix. On top of the events at Bar Smith on Friday night, I’m highly looking forward to seeing Band Of Skulls come through Modified on Saturday night. The band is a young one, having formed in Southampton, England in 2008. However, they’ve already garnered a lot of buzz and are the first band I’ve listened to that falls under the label of “alternative rock” in a long time. The show is at 8 and tickets are going for $10. Check out this track from their album Baby Darling Doll Face Honey and come show them some support if you like it, they’re a long way from home.
