I mostly post about new music here, but I’m thinking it will be nice to cover some classics every now and then. Last weekend I decided to watch Harold and Maude and have been listening to Cat Stevens quite a bit ever since. I’m sure everyone has heard him before, but I’m not sure everyone has heard this incredible cover by my all time favorite songwriter. Here’s Elliot Smith putting his haunting and timeless spin on “Trouble”. It ends up being a pretty powerful statement by two men that had vast impacts on their respective generations.
