Savannah, Georgia based metal band Kylesa has been one of my favorite bands in the heavier music spectrum since I saw them play in Seattle in 2004. Over the years they have become harder to classify as they have continued to expand their sonic realm to include influences of psyche rock, avant-garde experimentalism, and even some brief flirtations with pop choruses. If it sounds like I’m reaching to describe their sound, it’s because I am. This is a band you simply have to hear and a band that will blow you away with their live set.

The band will be joined on this tour by two other bands that are making a lot of noise in the underground metal scene; Tombs and Bison BC. And as a special treat for local fans, Landmine Marathon is set to open up the Phoenix show. It’s all going down September 29th at The Sets in Tempe.
