I felt like a kid on Christmas morning when I heard that my favorite author, Dave Eggers, was co-writing the screenplay to Where The Wild Things Are with Spike Jonze. What has me equally as excited is that Dave actually wrote a novel called The Wild Things that has fleshed out his ideas for the screenplay. The novel is being released on October 1st and a pre-order is available for this incredibly awesome fur-covered edition through Amazon right now for only $18. If you haven’t read Dave’s work, I’d recommend starting with You Shall Know Our Velocity before reading this one, but you’ve got plenty of time to finish that one before the October 1st release date.
