In the continued quest to bring you coverage of bands playing this year’s Fun Fun Fun Fest, here’s a track from a wonderful band from Athens, Georgia. Dead Confederate has a heavy psyche influence and the song “The Rat” is a huge wall of sound, with glimpses of beauty peaking out from the corners. The song comes from their recently released album Wrecking Ball. On top of playing the fest in Austin, these guys will be making a visit to The Marquee Theatre on September 16th to open for The Meat Puppets.
