My boy Kyle over at Phoenicia Association has been hyping up Joker to me pretty much every time I’ve seen him over the past few months. Since he’s a man of good taste, I decided to check him out and wasn’t let down in the least. This UK producer creates some of the most fresh dubstep tracks out there and every one sounds incredibly deep even on tiny laptop speakers. I’m sure these songs would murder any captive dancefloor if dropped at the right time. This remix is a great intro to his sound and a great counterpart to the original version of the track. Beth Ditto’s vocals are still at the forefront, but the tempo was increased and there’s some bassy trickery going on right below.
