Here’s a huge show that was flying under my radar until last night. The legendary Japanese noise band rarely finds themselves on US soil, let alone playing a bar on the Mesa/Tempe border. But, that’s exactly what’s going to happen on November 4th when Melt Banana brings their “new-wave grindcore” sound to the Hollywood Alley. If you don’t handle high pitched screams and the sound of electronic destruction well, you’re probably going to want to stay away from this one, as the band will be tearing through a selection of songs from their nearly twenty year history of violence.
