mp3: karen o and the kids- “hideaway”

null

I was thankfully not let down by the very high hopes I had for Where The Wild Things Are. The adaptation was all I imagined a collaboration between Spike Jonze and Dave Eggers to be. Karen O was another collaborator to the project that was essential to the incredible feeling the film left me with. The movie is the only “children’s movie” I can think of that really left me feeling that confusion, joy, and heartbreak that childhood is all about. “Hideaway” is an incredibly moving song and one that took the movie to new heights when it was played. The rest of the soundtrack is pretty wonderful as well. If you weren’t one of the contributors to the $32.5 million the movie made this past weekend, you should go see it soon. It’s one that I’ll be carrying with me for awhile.
