Phonat is the alias of Itaian producer Michele Balduzzi. He just released his debut album and it’s an album that’s been flying under the radar, but should be receiving massive amounts of hype from electronic music fans. This record is diverse and exciting and most of all makes you want to move. The lead single from the album is called “Set Me Free” and is amongst the top dance tracks I’ve heard this year. It’s got an uplifting mix of house, electro, and 70′s lite rock vocals. It’s something that could have gone very wrong in less capable hands, but Michele has taken the formula and created a monster track that no one with a pulse could ignore. This is the new sound of dance music.
