J. Tillman (full name Josh) is best known for his work as the drummer and backup vocalist for Fleet Foxes. However, he’s been releasing solo work since 2004 and just released his sixth LP under his own nomenclature. The album is called Year In The Kingdom and was released on Western Vinyl in September. He’s touring in support of the album right now alongside Pearly Gate Music, which features his brother Zach. They’ll be making their way through Phoenix on the 30th and playing at Modified.
