I haven’t heard much talk about the Real Estate show that’s coming up on the 25th at Modified, and that’s a damn shame! I’m completely swooning over the band’s self titled album that came out officially yesterday. It’s one of the most refreshing and best executed psychedelic pop albums I’ve ever had the opportunity of laying my ears on. I’m really interested to see how the band is going to go about topping this one. It reminds me of early Yo La Tengo albums, and that’s quite a feat to garner that comparison. You should definitely be in the building when they play here next week. They’re on the verge of blowing up and Modified is on the verge of ending their reign as one of the premiere all-ages music venues in town. Let’s make some memories people!
