It’s a hell of a time to be a music fan living on the West Coast. And though I can hardly see any coast from where I sit (No, a man made lake doesn’t count) I’d still lump Arizona in with the recent renaissance of music happening on the warmer side of the map. The hotbed is obviously the LA/SF scene and that’s where The Sandwitches reside. “Back To The Sea” wouldn’t have been out of place some 40 years ago blasting out of a Woodie on the way to the beach. It must be pretty awesome to be an old geezer and have your grandkids actually think you’re hip again. Like, gramps, you lived through the original incarnation of surf. Totally badass.
