VEGA is my favorite of Alan Palomo’s projects. Though he’s more well known at this point for the equally awesome Neon Indian. there’s something this project that I can’t get enough of. I’ve been dancing in my bedroom to the debut album Well Known Pleasures ever since I copped a download of it early this year. I was looking forward to his Saturday afternoon set months in advance to the show. Alan plays with a live band when performing live, and the band didn’t disappoint the hometown crowd one bit. In fact they had people uncontrollably dancing and screaming all over the park. I wasn’t the only one in the photo pit wiggling around either, especially when they went into “No Reasons.”
