Here’s a band that I’ve been waiting for to come through town all year. I’ve been expecting them to make a stop at some time, since they’ve been touring behind their latest album Manners throughout. The album is one of my favorites of the year and has been receiving warm reviews from a variety of diverging media outlets. Passion Pit is a band that I’m well aware has a lot of detractors, mostly stemming from the high-pitched vocal styling of leader Michael Angelakos. If you’re not into that style, I can understand not being able to get behind this band, but I love the style of synth-pop that they kick out and can’t wait to see how it translates live.
