In news that made my day Lemmy Kilmister (Motorhead) and Dave Lombardo (Slayer) have recorded a cover of Ben E. King’s classic “Stand by Me.” The song is off the forthcoming movie/soundtrack to Geoff Rowley’s new film for Flip Skateboard’s Extremely Sorry. The cover doesn’t stray far from the original but Lemmy’s vocals do the song great justice. Extremely Sorry is currently scheduled to be released on Oct 27th on Volcom Entertainment.
