There’s a lot going on in Phoenix tonight! There’s 21+ shows at two of the Valley’s bars that cater to live music. The first one is going down over at Hollywood Alley. At 8pm you can catch Japanese noise-rockers Melt Banana playing a rare set in town. Along with the band’s normal set, they’ll also be playing a set as Melt Banana Lite, which will see the band doing away with the guitars and replacing them with synths. This one comes highly recommended.



Over at the Yucca Tap Room, you can join Vice in celebrating their 15th year anniversary with a free party with an open bar. Now that’s enough to get me and most people out to a bar on a Wednesday night, but they decided to go all out and bring Crystal Antlers through to play. I’ll be catching this band over the weekend in Austin and the set tonight should get me in the mood. Black Carl will also play and some great local DJs will spin between/after bands. If you’re looking to dance all night instead of watching bands play, Pinky Ring in Scottsdale is the place to be tonight. DJ Fashen will be back in town to spin a set for the kickoff party for Scottsdale Fashion Week. The party is happening at Pussycat Lounge at 9pm. Fashen is joined by the Pinky Ring residents who’ll be keeping the beats dropping all night.
