Papercuts is San Francisco-based singer/songwriter Jason Quever. Now wait, I know that genre can make you cringe when you see it, but Jason refuses to fall into the traps that so commonly make songs by those types of artists sound all too similar. The difference comes out in the extensive use of reverb and organs, along with brief experiments with electronics. And on his latest single, it now involves a string arrangement as well. “White are the Waves” is available on a 7″ that was recently released. Pick this one up. Hell, get two and stuff a stocking.
