The show gods have been kind to us and delivered one hell of a show for those of you that wont be catching the first night of Coachella this year. Here We Go Magic is a band I’ve written about on this blog several times. Their debut album was one of the most surprising of 2009, as they came out of nowhere and quickly took their place amongst my favorite bands. Well, now it’s 2010 and the band has signed to Secretly Canadian and is currently working on their sophomore album, while finding time to go on a huge tour with White Rabbits and play just about every festival happening this summer.
Phoenicians that went to see Passion Pit at The Clubhouse were lucky enough to see White Rabbits deliver a stellar opening set. I’m a big fan of percussion and the bands two-sometimes-three drummer attack had me weak in the knees at some points. I’m looking forward to getting a chance to see them headline a show, as it was hard for me to be at full-attention when I knew Passion Pit was about to take the stage. If you’re not making the trip to Coachella this year, make sure you’re at The Clubhouse on April 16th.
