|Local Natives kick off their US tour in Tucson|

Soaring harmonies and tribal beats are what Local Natives hinges its sound on. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard those tricks combined, in fact it’s very much in fashion these days. Amazingly, this band sounds like they’re completely unaware of that fact. The band takes post-punk, Afro-beat, and a big Zombies influence and wraps it all up into a sound that has a lot of people impressed. I’m one of those people, so I’m very excited about receiving news that the band is kicking off their 29-day US tour in Tucson at Solar Culture. The non-profit venue has been keeping independent arts and culture alive and thriving in Tucson and it’s a perfect place for a band destined for big things to kick off a tour that will take them a long way towards making those things happen. Catch them on April 20th so you can be say you saw them first.
