I’m not sure if it’s the current political and economic climate or a reaction to the terrible music that fills pop charts these days, but it’s pretty clear that the kids want goth! The reemergence of the scene has taken hold in the past couple of years, probably most recognized by the recent success of Cold Cave. You may think San Diego is a strange place for the best goth band around to hail from, but that’s exactly where Blessure Grave resides. The band recently released an absolutely stunning album called “Judged By 12, Carried By 6″ that you absolutely must hear, because these two preview tracks just aren’t enough. After you get done consuming the LP, you can smile in joy knowing that the band will be playing a house show at YOBS in Tempe on March 15th.

I have the “shewantsrevenge” taste in my mouth. Thats the problem, but I will swing by on 15th of March to see them live. Might change my mind, but highly doubt it. Thanks D.
Blessure Grave is more akin to Joy Division, Jesus and Mary Chain, The Cure… they have a serious classic post-punk true goth bent.
