I’m going to be honest and say I haven’t been paying attention to much of anything that Ed Banger has done recently. That is until I heard these new Breakbot tracks. Luckily he avoids the trapping of tired “blog house” cliches and instead produces tracks that wont sound instantly dated the second they fall off the Hype Machine. They’re equally great for headphones and the club and even remind me a bit of the more low key work that Daft Punk did. The “Baby I’m Yours” EP just came out on Valentine’s Day. If you didn’t get it for your sweetheart then, you can pick it up now and show them you don’t just care about them the one day of the year you’re required to show it.
