You probably know Josiah Wolf best from the band WHY?, who he holds down the drums for. But did you also know that beyond being an incredibly gifted drummer, he also can play nearly any instrument you can think of? Well, he has proven that with the release of his first solo album “Jet Lag”, which just come out on March 2nd via Anticon. He played every instrument and recorded all the vocals for this project, with production duties being handled by his brother Yoni Wolf. The result is a beautiful and unique psych-pop album that is just begging to be your go to for a summer spent on the road with friends.
Speaking of being on the road with friends, Josiah will be bringing his tour to Phoenix in June. I’m guessing he wont be playing all the instruments and handling vocal duties by himself for the live set, so perhaps he’ll be joined by other members of the Anticon collective or maybe the opening bands will fill in the gaps. Speaking of openers, this tour has Portland’s Cars And Trains along with locals The Whisperlights. This all goes down on June 6th at The Trunk Space. Keep an eye on our updates, as we’ll be running a contest for free tickets when it gets closer to the date of the show. Mark your calendars.
