Boris and crew have been holding down Saturday nights at my neighborhood bar for more than a few years now. I haven’t been making it down there as often as I’d like lately, which is a shame when the bar is so close and is the best place in town to be on a Saturday. It also just might have the most people crammed into a tiny bar you’ve ever seen. If you’ve yet to make it to an edition of Super Sensational Saturday, then you’re missing out. Especially if you enjoy people watching and cheap drinks, along with a diverse mix of music you aren’t likely to find at another bar in town. And every now the crew books a live act to really stretch how many people, and how much gear, can fit inside.
They’ll be doing it once again on August 21st when the always entertaining Treasure Mammal will be making a guest appearance. He’s releasing a new mix tape called “Last Of The Brohicans” and he’s celebrating it in the best way.. making a bar full of people shake their asses in the middle of one of the most humid and disgusting summers on record in Phoenix. Add on the fact that there’s no cover ever at Bikini and you can get a pint of Stella for $3.50 and ask yourself, why would you be anywhere else? I know that I won’t be.
