11.29.10Photos: Black Mountain and The Black Angels LiveBeing a total hermit has caused me to miss a lot of great shows lately. I can't really blame anyone but myself for a situation like that, but it's the truth regardless. The show at The Clubhouse featuring The Black Angels and Black Mountain was the latest of my missed opportunities. I hear this one was really one I shouldn't have missed. While I sit here and pity myself, at least you all can enjoy the pictures that the supremely talented Tyler Nevitt grabbed at the show. I'll make sure I don't miss these bands next time they come around!

11.29.10Fun Fun Fun Fest 2010 Recap VideoThis year was the second consecutive year that the FMF crew headed to my favorite festival of them all, Fun Fun Fun Fest. The fest went down at Waterloo Park in Austin, Texas and once again provided one of the most diverse lineups you could ever imagine. I will say this year managed to outdo last year and I hope that everyone that is able to make it in 2011 decides to come out. However, both bands have become known for their disappointing live performances as of late as well. 11.16.10|Civic Space Jam Turns One|2010 has been a very exciting year for the Phoenix arts/music scene. There are so many individuals and groups that are pushing really fresh events and working to further the feeling of community that is taking over what was once a land of disconnected suburbs. One event that I feel is a shining example of that is the monthly Civic Space Jam run by DJentrification and Hartbreaks. 11.15.10|Photos: Best Coast And Sonny And The Sunsets At Rhythm Room|I didn't manage to make it to this show, but I didn't hear good things about the Best Coast performance. Their set at Fun Fun Fun Fest was pretty entertaining, but I was getting a bit on an "indie diva" vibe from Bethany during the set. Apparently that came out to the extreme at their sold-out show at the Rhythm Room.
