Best Coast and Wavves both put out very solid albums this year and generated an obscene amount of hype. However, both bands have become known for their disappointing live performances as of late as well. I’m hoping these bands get their shit together when they come to The Clubhouse for a joint tour on January 22nd, because there is potential for a very entertaining night if they do. The fact that it’s at my least favorite venue in the state and is sponsored by MTV and Spin doesn’t leave a lot of room for hope, but I’ll go ahead and cross my fingers for a good night. The bands will apparently do some joint songs together and be bringing a “beach theme” to the tour.
