That’s right, the revolutionary artist Gil-Scott Heron released his first album in 16 years earlier this year. “I’m New Here” was released on XL and produced by label owner Richard Russell and has received much critical praise. The album hit me with raw honesty that is hard to find in music these days and really left me feeling overwhelmed after first listen. Now, as 2011 approaches, here comes the first single from what is sure to be one of the most awesome remix projects to ever see the light of day.
