The band I like to refer to as “the great shoegaze hope” are about to bring their gorgeously heavy sounds-capes back to Phoenix. That’s right, Asobi Seksu is going on tour again! This time they’ll be hitting the Rhythm Room in support of their forthcoming album “Fluorescence”, which will be released on Polyvinyl on February 15th. The band is hypnotically heavy live and their show is something you’ve simply got to experience. Luckily for me the show in Phoenix is on March 13th, four days before I’m leaving for a month long journey around Thailand. The opener will be Braids, a newcomer that I’ve been enjoying the hell out of as of late. Mark this one down on that increasingly packed calendar of yours!
