If you have managed to miss out on the buzz for Tennis, the husband and wife duo from Denver, that time is about to come to an end. The band released a heavily Brian Wilson influence 7-inch earlier this year on Underwater Peoples that spread like wildfire even before it was pressed. I was completely smitten with the band from the first chord I heard and was left craving so much more. I have everything the band has recorded thus far on my computer, and adds up to less than 30 minutes of music total! That should change soon though, as the band has signed to Fat Possum and will release their debut LP in 2011. I’m sure that us Phoenicians will get to hear all kinds of new music when the band comes to Rhythm Room on February 8th. Early forecasts point to Stateside making sure that the next year is just as big and hectic for shows as 2010 was!
