MP3: The War On Drugs – “Baby Missles”

Hello everyone! I know it’s been ages since I’ve posted, and I greatly appreciate everyone that has continued to check in on the blog, even though I’ve completed failed at providing fresh content for your curious eyes. I decided to take off to Thailand for a month and am still adjusting to the reality of day to day life back in Phoenix. I’ve missed writing this blog and I’m sure it will help with getting me back in the routine and help me get a little more focused. I’ve got some photos that I’ll be sharing with everyone in the next couple of days.

I was excited to get this track in my inbox on my first day back blogging. The War On Drugs released their debut album “Wagonwheel Blues” in 2008 and introduced the world to the unique voice of Adam Granduciel. I fell in love with the band and pretty much wore out my vinyl copy of the album. I’ve been waiting for another full-length ever since, and it’s finally arriving. This track is the first single off their upcoming album “Slave Ambient,” scheduled for release on Secretly Canadian on August 16th. If the first single is any indication, we’re in for another emotionally-charged slab of Philly rock’n'roll. I can hardly wait!
