I was spending my night endlessly clicking around various corners of the internet the other night and managed to discover one of my best finds of recent times. I found BADBADNOTGOOD through the videos of the sessions they recorded with Tyler, The Creator and was immediately intrigued. I started to dig a little deeper and realized these guys had recorded jazz versions of some pretty amazing cover tracks and even had a mixtape with some original stuff on it. I’m a huge fan of jazz and am thrilled when I hear something that’s current, as it seems like there’s not a lot of original jazz left these days. I know it stopped being cool before even your parents were around, but come on guys, let’s get some more modern jazz out there. Mix it up a little bit like these cats from Toronto, and you just may end up with one of the freshest sounds out there today. You definitely need to go download their mixtape and enjoy the audio and video pleasure below. If these guys don’t blow up, there is no justice.
