LA party machine Villains are going to be making their second appearance in Phoenix tonight. This time they'll be rocking the rooftop of Bar Smith for Fuse Fridays. 06.15.09future watch: a-trakI wanted to update you with a show flyer for one of my most anticipated parties of the summer, the 10,000 LB Hamburger Tour. This is yet another awesome show presented by UM, who is constantly providing Phoenix with the best talent out there. We now know the show is 18+, as well as who the local openers will be. Here's a video of A-Trak killing it on his recent Infinity +1 tour to wet your appetite even more.

06.08.09tonight at the rhythm roomIf you were planning on seeing the Yeah Yeah Yeah's show tonight and don't have tickets yet, you should probably rethink those plans, because the show is long sold out. Luckily there's another awesome show happening in town tonight that isn't sold out as of yet. Toronto's Constantines will be playing at The Rhythm Room with support from Crystal Antlers and I Was A King. Doors are at 7 and tickets are $12.

The man was one of the early originators of both the electro and hip-hop sounds and is still respected as one of the best to ever do it today. Pinky Ring Wednesdays is bringing him to Bar Smith tonight for a live DJ set. The openers are the Pinky Ring regulars along with some of the Party Foul djs. And, if that wasn't enough DJ Fashen just got added to the bill at the last minute. Show up early to avoid the lines and the threat of a sell out.

04.15.09show announcement: the detroit cobrasDetroit garage-rockers The Detroit Cobras will be bringing their signature sound to Phoenix on May 27th. So far the only confirmed opener is Dex Romweber. The promoter should definitely get the Love Me Nots on this bill! The show will be at the Rhythm Room and tickets will be $12.

04.15.09treasure fingers at bar smith tonightRecently transplanted from Atlanta to Brooklyn, Treasure Fingers has taken the club circuit by storm. He's signed to Fools Gold Records and has been touring the country and world non stop over the past couple of years. He'll be making a stop through Phoenix on his way to Coachella this evening at Bar Smith. The Pinky Ring resident djs will provide support along with guests Bigie and Daze of Thunder from Party Foul Fridays. This is getting going at 9 and is going to be packed, so get there early.

It's been quite some time since I've done that thing, but I figured it was time to come out of retirement. My friends Daniel and Boris do Saturday nights at Bikini Lounge and asked for me to come out this Saturday. If you want to hear some disco, funk, and maybe a little classic electro, come on out Saturday night.

04.08.09groove candy movesThe weekly hip hop/soul night Groove Candy has moved locations for the second time after Lyte Lounge was sold to new owners and their spot was taken out from under them. Luckily they found a new home, and it's in Phoenix this time. Starting tonight, you can catch Groove Candy at Doc's Place on Central and Camelback.
