Baroness is arguably the best metal band around, so you can understand the state of shock I was in when I heard Allen Blickle from the band decided to try his hand at remixing one of my new favorites. “Swim” from Surfer Blood is a standout single that is sure to help the band play much bigger stages than they’ve experienced so far. Seeing them rip through that track and a bunch of others at The Trunk Space a few months back, I can’t see anything but success for them. There’s no metal in the remix, but Allen did crank up the intensity and slam a pulsing beat behind the song and makes you want to dance around.
