Vampire Weekend will visit Phoenix, at least once, in what is shaping up to be another huge year for the band. This month will see the release of their new album "Contra." Will it live up to that shocking success of the first album? After all, it was both commercially and artistically much better of an album than the hype allowed me to think it could be. Well, I've listened to the new album and I am in love with it. I can't see any situation where the band doesn't continue their ascent to the top of the indie music ...

Vampire Weekend has released the second single for their forthcoming album Contra. I'd say "Cousins" is more immediate than the first single "Horchata." This one really jumps out at me immediately and makes me want to jump around a bit. I first heard it while sitting in my cubicle at work and was tapping my foot so violently I had to make a conscience effort to stop myself so that I didn't draw too much attention to my lack of working.
