  I've been greatly anticipating the Dirty Projectors stop in Phoenix for months on end. I'm happy to write that the big day will finally be here tomorrow when the band visits The Rhythm Room. I know I'm not the only one that can't wait to see the monster that was Bitte Orca performed live. Luckily it's going down at one of the best sounding venues in town.   I fell in love with Bitte Orca the first time I heard it, and have been progressively enjoying it more and more with each spin. However, it wasn't until a friend put it on at a late night BBQ last Sunday that it cemented itself as my favorite album of the summer. The Dirty Projectors have struck the perfect balance between art and pop with this album. Here's the music video for the first single, "Stillness Is The Move."

  I got the pleasure of hearing the new Dirty Projectors album last night and I've got to say this band has finally reached the potential that was just underneath the surface on their previous albums. Bitte Orca is wonderful! "Stillness Is The Move" is very R&B influenced, but like most of their albums, the sound the band goes for jumps all over the place throughout the length of this album.
