The artwork above is rumored to be the cover art for the forthcoming Flaming Lips album Embryonic. It's going to be a double album that hits late summer and is being talked about as being a "return to weird" for the Lips. The band has also advised that they have worked with MGMT and Yeah Yeah Yeah's singer Karen O on tracks for the album. We will bring you more news as it develops.

So, it's official. The Flaming Lips are coming to Arizona for the first time since 2000. They will be co headlining the second night of the McDowell Mountain Music Festival on Sunday, April 25th. The one day passes are $55. If this band decides to take 9 years to return again, you may never get another chance to see them.
