Sub Pop has become the king of labels when it comes to the new folk movement that's overtaken music over the past few years. They've seen Fleet Foxes and Band of Horses achieve breakaway success, and keep pumping out new releases steadily. Will Death Vessel be able to achieve the same success as the aforementioned bands? Only time will tell, but I can say "Circa" is another solid entry into Sub Pop's "videos of good folk songs" catalog.

Today's preview is about Blitzen Trapper. These guys hail from Portland, Oregon and play folk influenced rock music. They travel in the same circles as bands like Fleet Foxes and Band of Horses. This style of music is all the rage right now and it isn't a surprise that all three of the mentioned bands got a slot on Coachella this year. Blitzen Trapper released the critically acclaimed record Furr on Sub Pop last year and this track comes from that album.
