Twin Tigers are from Athens, Georgia and are preparing to release their debut album on Tuesday. I first heard of the band when I was researching bands as I prepared to travel to Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin this previous November. They were one of the bands on the fest that I had yet to hear that I was most excited about. The band’s dizzying mix of psych-indie-pop has received comparisons to legendary acts such as Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine, and Psychocandy-era Jesus and the Mary Chain. Now I know those are some big names to be throwing out there, but this young band delivers. On top of their immense talent, they were incredibly nice people when I met them in Austin.
