10.12.09the desert benderHornitos and Vice are teaming up to throw one hell of a free party in Phoenix next Wednesday. I write about Kinch a lot on here, so I'm sure all my readers (and most Phoenicians) are familiar with those guys. Brothers Backword will also be in the house along with two DJs that are regulars at The Black Forest Mill. The best part about all this? The event is totally free and has an open Hornitos bar from 10pm to 12am. Hopefully this means more Vice events will be happening in Phoenix in the future. RSVP to the event here. ...

06.24.09show announcement: men (ex le tigre)Men began in 2007 as the DJ/production/remix team of Le Tigre members JD Samson and Johanna Fateman and has since progressed into a full band that combines a raucous mix of disco, reggae, and punk along with lyrics that speak of radical politics. What that all amounts to is one sweaty dance party going down when the band visits The Rhythm Room on July 20th. Tickets are available now for $10 and an opening set will be provided by Jared Alan. 05.16.09cheap thrills goes weeklyCheap Thrills has been operating as a montly party on the last Saturday of each month for over half a year now. The party has generated quite a buzz so the decision was made to make the party a weekly. Tonight dj's Jared Alan and Sean Watson will be on the tables and there will be an open bar from 9pm to 12am to celebrate going weekly. The party will get going at the Black Forest Mill at 9.
