11.29.10Photos: Black Mountain and The Black Angels LiveBeing a total hermit has caused me to miss a lot of great shows lately. I can't really blame anyone but myself for a situation like that, but it's the truth regardless. The show at The Clubhouse featuring The Black Angels and Black Mountain was the latest of my missed opportunities. I hear this one was really one I shouldn't have missed. While I sit here and pity myself, at least you all can enjoy the pictures that the supremely talented Tyler Nevitt grabbed at the show. I'll make sure I don't miss these bands next time they come around!

11.18.10|Best Coast And Wavves Coming To Phoenix In January|Best Coast and Wavves both put out very solid albums this year and generated an obscene amount of hype. However, both bands have become known for their disappointing live performances as of late as well. I'm hoping these bands get their shit together when they come to The Clubhouse for a joint tour on January 22nd, because there is potential for a very entertaining night if they do. 04.21.10|Photos: Beach House w/ Bachelorette and The Middle East|Monday night's show was one of my most anticipated shows of the year. I can say I was only more excited about seeing Phoenix play earlier in the year, but Beach House managed to blow away even that stellar performance. I did get incredibly sad when the show got moved from Rhythm Room to The Clubhouse. The venue is much less intimate and almost always has issues with sound. 02.22.10|MONO and The Twilight Sad will play Tucson and Phoenix|Japanese post-rock legends MONO celebrated their 10th year as a band with a string of two sold-out shows in New York City last spring. However, these weren't your average shows. The band was joined by Wordless Orchestra in a performance that was 30 people strong and left everyone at the shows stunned. 02.10.10|Sleepy Sun is coming to town, opening for Arctic Monkeys|Our friends and fellow local bloggers over at Electric Mustache recently delivered the news that the Arctic Monkeys would be coming to the Marquee on April 15th.
