09.28.09mp3: the so so glos- “isn’t it a shame”For those of you that weren't in attendance at Modified on Saturday night, and haven't had the pleasure of hearing Brooklyn's The So So Glos, take a listen to this song below. The band is at the forefront of the Brooklyn DIY punk scene and lives in and runs The Market Hotel, one of the few venues of it's kind in the city. The band plays a bouncy and moving brand of punk that features pop-punk basslines and surfy guitar riffs, pushed forward with propulsive vocals and lyrics that speak of both political and personal issues. 09.27.09photos: titus andronicus and the so so glos at modifiedThose of you who didn't come out to Modified last night missed one hell of a show. The night kicked off with a burst of energy from local band The OSS and never slowed down for a moment. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of those guys, but I did get these shots of The So So Glos and Titus Andronicus. Modified was pretty packed throughout most of the night and there was tons of energy in the room. Hopefully both bands return soon!
