06.01.09wavves cancel european tourWavves had a very public meltdown at the Primavera Festival in Spain a few days back and now have announced the cancellation of the remainder of their European tour. Leader Nathan Williams issued an online apology that stated "mixing ecstasy valium and xanax before having to play in front of thousands of people was one of the more poor decisions I've made". A video of said meltdown has been made available and is viewable below. The band lists only shows at the Bowery Ballroom on July 15th and the Pitchfork Music Festival on July 18th. 04.09.09rock the bells 2009 lineupThe Rock The Bells 2009 lineup has been announced. There's a lot less hipster rap on the lineup this year (no Cool Kids!), and more of a return back to the tried and true of the hip hop underground. I'm really excited about the Nas and Damian Marley collaboration headlining this. They're currently working on an album together and this tour will be a great support gig for it. There's no word yet on venues or dates, but this will be worth a drive out to LA. Full lineup below.

03.12.09radiohead recordingRadiohead dropped a few hints about upcoming recording and touring plans during a recent interview with the BBC. Guitarist Ed O'Brien told Newsbeat the Oxford band would be hitting the studio soon. "We are working on new material," he explained. "We'll be doing some more recording. It's business as usual. "We've sort of finished the bulk of [In Rainbows] touring," he added. "We will be doing a little bit of touring in the summer, watch this space!" The rest of the article can be read here. In Rainbows was such an incredible album that I can't even imagine where they'll go next.
