Last night's Bon Iver show was simply one of the most beautiful performances I've ever seen. I could wax endlessly about all the things that made it so, but I think the feeling that was in that room is a little bit beyond language. Some things can only be felt. Bon Iver leader Justin Vernon is a busy man. While currently working on the followup to Bon Iver's masterpiece For Emma, Forever Ago, and playing shows all across the world over the past few months, he's managed to complete an album with a new side project named Volcano Choir. The band features Justin on vocals and members of Wisconsin-based band Collections of Colonies of Bees making up the remainder of the band. Word is the album will be more on the experimental side of what we're used to from Justin. The album Unmap will be released on Jagjaguwar on September 22nd. ...
